Parc Asnapio

As in 2024, the Regional Service of Archaeology (SRA) and the mediators of the Ancient Forum of Bavay will be present and will testify to the multitude of trades related to this field, while the company Archéopole will offer a workshop around 3D photography.
New this year, Asnapio will also host the GAUL (Groupement Universitaire Archéologique Lillois) which will exhibit its monthly journal on archaeology, as well as their podcast «La truelle au bout du fil» which addresses research topics. The association’s students will also offer a workshop entitled “pottery and numismatics”.
Professors from the University of Lille will present the institution and its role in training future archaeologists.
New, researchers from the CNRS (National Center for Scientific Research) will exchange with you on the research in progress, and archaeologists of the company Archeodunum, which operates in metropolitan France and inmer with a field of expertise ranging from the Neolithic to the present day, will present the specificities of preventive archaeology. The experts of the company Éveha will present, for their part, the many professions related to archaeology (ceramologist, archeozoologist, carpologue, anthracologist...) thanks to their «specialist» tanks.
Finally, the historical reconstruction association Branno Teuta will focus on experimental archaeology and will experiment with charcoal manufacturing according to the methods of the Celts of Gaul, Whereas the REGHT, a northern association that works for the promotion of European Historical Martial Arts (AMHE) will propose demonstrations and initiations.
Children will also be able to learn the techniques of archaeological excavations, the study of material, archaeological drawing, lithic reassembly and anthropology.
