Relive the stories of former peasants during the First World War
This Thursday 8 May, it is the 80th anniversary of the end of the war!
The German invasion in 1940 caused the exodus of peasants, who had barely recovered from the First World War. Not all leave, abandoned herds of animals are recovered by the villagers with the help of gendarmes. Relive their stories...
- At 11 am and 6 pm: animal rendezvous, accompany our villagers to meet the farm animals! All public
- At 2 pm and 4 pm: the old school will open its doors to commemorate the Massacre of Ascq. Relive the 19th century school with the teacher or the master of the village school. To your feathers and inkwells! From 8 years.
- At 2:30 and 4:30 pm: discovery of the old school for children under 8, they will be able to travel in the middle of the desks.
- From 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.: family workshop
- At 11:30, 14:30 and 17:30: cottage appointment
- 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.: storytelling sessions
- At 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.: guided tour of the museum and meetings with our villagers in period costumes. All public.
