Bread Festival

From the birth of wheat to the mowing, through the observation of the grinding of wheat at the mill, you will accompany the miller and his donkey, and go to meet the baker at the communal bakery! You will be able to participate in a family bread making workshop but also attend stories. All public.

• From 11h to 18h: visit of the mill of Vaudricourt
• From 10am to 12pm and 13h30 to 18h
  Watch our 19th century farmers in action and try to harvest with them. During this wheat harvest, you will see the use of the scythe, the threshing of the wheat ears and its passage in the tarare!
• From 10:30 am: bread workshop with Amandine la engraineuse.
  Young and old, discover the bread recipe and make fun little fluffy loaves. The dough will be baked in a wood-fired oven, in the old communal bakery of Hondeghem. The opportunity to discover this beautiful traditional building dating from the eighteenth century. A convivial moment to have fun, create and develop your senses! Duration 45 minutes, 10 people per group.
• At 11h, 14h30 and 16h30: walk of the 3 giants of Wormhout

• At 2pm and 4pm: School of yesteryear: Relive the 19th century school with the
  teacher or the master of the village school. To your feathers and inkwells! from 8 years.
• At 2.30pm and 4.30pm: discovery of the old school
  For children under 8 years old. They can travel through the desks and discover the school of your elders!
• At 11h and 18h: animal rendezvous: Accompany our villagers to meet the farm animals! all public.
• At 3pm: guided tour with a villageois of the museum and meeting with our villagers in period costume.
• At 3:30 pm: Story session
• At 5pm: cottage appointment
