La Valmotivée 19th edition

The event welcomes every year 400 athletes of all levels and ages: from the national elite as in 2014 (round of the French championships) to more modest athletes or families looking to practice for the pleasure of sport and conviviality.
“Physics and Strategy” Whether it’s mountain biking, trail running, roller skating or even canoeing, the Valmotivée aims to be physical and multisport. But also strategic because all the tests are done in Orientation. The stiffeners move using cards and compasses.
« Conviviality » The event takes place in a good mood thanks to playful and staggered events in teams from 2 for the "Sportive" to 5 for the "Familiale"
« Between city and countryside » This is the slogan of the Valmotivée, which each year, takes off in a different commune of the Lille region and even sometimes beyond, offering events both in the countryside in the forests and in the city in the parks..
2 formulas are proposed:
La Sportive
6-hour non-stop raid while oriented by teams of 2
The objective: to collect the maximum number of points within the allotted time.
Advice: adapt your course according to its form and strategy. No event is mandatory (except the prologue and the liaison courses).
Up to 55kms of mountain biking, 15kms of orienteering races on foot, 8 kms of running & bike, 3kms of rollerblading studded with a few surprise events await you (if you do everything).
Departure at 9am.
The Family
2-hour non-stop raid in teams from 2 to 5, composed of at least one child over 7 years old and an adult.
Many fun events under the theme "Lucky-Luke" will allow you to discover orienteering in all its forms.
Departure between 10am and 10:30am.
